Due
to NCAA recruiting guidelines on limitation of visits by a college
coach scouting a high school player, college coaches recruit
the vast majority of their players from the junior volleyball
programs.
Over
95% of volleyball athletes at Division I universities in Texas
alone (i.e. Baylor, Texas, Houston, UTA, SFA, etc.) were involved in juniors volleyball programs.
Of
the 8 seniors that participated in the North Dallas Juniors
Volleyball program during the 2005 season, all were offered
scholarships to play volleyball at the college level. In addition, numerous juniors participating in the 2004 and 2005
spring seasons received offers from colleges before the start of their senior club season.
For the
previous 13 seasons, 119 out of 122 players participating in the North Dallas program or completing
their senior season as a player with North Dallas received offers to play college volleyball.
